Everything about Sunbus Sunshine Coast totally explained

Sunbus is the principal provider of public transportation on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, Australia. It operates bus routes under the TransLink scheme in southeast Queensland.

Service area

Sunbus operates from Noosa Heads and Tewantin in the north, and as far south as Caloundra and Landsborough Rail Station. The area with the best service coverage is the coastal strip between Caloundra and Noosa Heads.

TransLink services

Bus route numbers and destination information are displayed on the front of the buses. In addition, route numbers are also displayed on the side and back on the majority of buses.

Interchanges

The main interchanges are:
Plans to upgrade Citytrain's Nambour and Gympie North (Sunshine Coast) Line, and to construct the Maroochydore Line (CAMCOS) towards the coastal strip, will see an increase in feeder services to rail stations.

Fleet

Sunbus operates a large fleet of minibuses, medium and large sized buses. The fleet comprises many large low-floor accessible Volvo B12BLE buses with VST bodywork, manufactured by Bustech. There are many other wheelchair accessible buses in the fleet such as the Volvo B7RLE and the Mercedes O815D minibus using CB20 bodywork, manufactured by Custom Coaches. Most of their non-accessible fleet are progressively being replaced with newer accessible buses.

Livery

Blue and white; with the Sunbus logo displayed on the front and sides of the buses.
